If Mark was ever going to embrace his growing Darker side at all I think it being in hell was the best option.
Especially since in the comics this story line just doesn't exist.
Yeah Damien Darkblood just doesn't come back.
He finds out about Nolan Nearly killing the shit out of the Guardians doesn't listen to Cecil telling him to stay away and then Cecil Exercises him.
But like, talk about plot threads left hanging eh?
Damien is a cool guy, a Demon Detective trying to do good to stay out of hell?
What is cooler than that?

My guy, Damien is fighting to restore Hell to the rule of Lucifer.
Like in so many stories that contain the first among the fallen this one too chooses to show him as a necessary evil.
According to Damien there are 6 ages including the current one of Humans.
6) of the Demons
2) of the Lesser Kaijus
1) of the big Kaijus
5) of the Demons
3) We don't talk about that because Chaos or some shit said Damien the Demon.
4) Volcanikka and the Vile.
And Volcanikka is a real Charmer.
She is the main reason Lucifer isn't on the Throne at this time.
And that he looks like a creepy little dwarf.

And she just keeps regenerating when she is killed, it seems(at least to me) that she needs to touch Lava or something to heal because there is a point in the beginning where Domina, Damien's sister almost kills her with a blow to the head.

But in the end it didn't matter.
It seemed in the beginning like she could be killed but someone just needed to be quick enough.
Or maybe get her away from the Lava, or rock? I don't know... where does her power come from?
It's clear she reaches for something when there is a blow in her head to heal, but what?

Whatever it was the Demons seem surprised by it, which tracks or why bring her here where there is apparently so much of it(assuming its the Lava).
And also why fight her at all.
But also how did they subdue her the first time...
And I am doing it again, thinking about shit too deeply.
Point is, from the Demons point of view it was the clear choice to summon Omni-Man using his blood, but he isn't on Earth, and so comes the next man carrying his blood.

Invincible in this episode is almost ready to give up the mantle, he goes to Art in order to give up the Mantle, he feels he is not worthy anymore.
He crossed a line.
And Art.. Art is such a gem he just remakes Mark's old costume and tells him to take it when he is ready to be the kid who first became Invincible again.
In hell Ol' Invi learns a lot, Damien tells him what everyone has been trying to tell him from the start, sometimes being the hero means choosing between the lesser of the two evils.
And while the usual counter of there's always another way comes, Damien tells him the truth.

That's the point right?
We aren't perfect.
Invincible still refuses to hurt anyone and surprisingly he doesn't need to?
I mean they were planning on calling Omni, I thought that would definitely involve killing thinking of what he actually did.
I mean Damien only knows the murderer right? Not the reformed Man.
Yeah that's right boys the O should be replaced with an R Omni-Man is now Reformed-Man.
And he comes to collect Mark by the end of it.

But we are getting ahead of ourselves, what is the plan then?
The Plan is to get back Satan's Crown from Cerberus the Three headed dog who is at the bottom of the bottomless pit which probably inspired Tartarus.

The drop in the Pit is probably the funniest five minutes in all of Invincible.
Why do Demon have disappearing and reappearing armor?

Why does Damien keep taking his helmet on and off?

Also what is the plan to defeat Cerberus?

And did he catch him again?

Did he?

Yes he did.
And Satan became cool again.
And after the whole hoopla Invincible made about not hurting/killing anyone, he see Volcanikka and he understands the he is the only one who can do something and also what it is that he needs to do.

Lol, I complained about bad animation last time, and this time they just blew it out of the park.
And she just keeps getting back up and Mark is like.

Damn what a frame.

And after killing Volcanikka too many times to count.
Oh and also the Vile comeback but then Mark exists.

And after all that Mark is sent back to the surface like he was promised and so is Damien!
Because it is helpful for the Demons to have eyes and ears on the surface.
Yeah so basically Hell is Slugterra, in the sense that it is just deep underground and is called Under Realm and everything.
But the main point is, We got back the coolest underutilized and wasted character in the comics back in Incincible the show.

And Damien has a mission, Volcanikka was content to just dwell in the bowels of the planet all this time, and now she wants to rule it, Why?
Makes sense, I wonder if it has something to do with the Thing Invincible was doing when he was summoned.
Does anyone remember that joke Mummy character who has been showing up all this time through out the previous seasons trying to get a host and then disappearing because the hosts available to him they're... not suitable...
So he must debase himself, use an unsuitable host.

And that only happens because Invincible is pulled away.
I mean come on.
Has to be related right?
Why else just put that out there in the middle of this episode????
Okay but why didn't Invincible return to the job?
I guess he got distracted, I mean there is plenty to do that for him.
Like his mom selling the house.

Speaking of all that, Debbie in the show is quite different from the Debbie in the comics, in the comics she went into a drinking spiral, Paul was the most inconsequential and pointless addition to the plot.
And Debbie got so drunk that she blamed Mark for Driving Ol'Omni away.
She is not this no nonsense person she is in the show, and as far as I know she definitely wasn't moving in with Paul.
So all things considered this show is gonna go a totally different direction.
I watched a video that highlighted all that.
But this episode proves that either because of her or something else, or her along with something else.
I mean Kirkman did say that this is like his second go around.
