If you want peace: Parabellum(Latin for prepare for War).
In this Chapter of John Wick, everyone is once again after his ass because he is Excomunicado.
Well not yet as the movie begins, but one assassin comes to claim his bounty anyways and he get's killed by breaking his neck over a book.

This leads to John being injured and seeking the help of a continental Doctor, just five minutes before his Excomunicado, he stops on the clock but they will never believe it and he told him where the medicine is so John Shoots him as a cover.
John's plan now, is to take a horse and ride his way to the headquarters of the Ruska Roma, the family he was born into as Jardani Jovonovich and ask for help in return for his ticket which binds the Roma to one favor.
It is at this point that we as the audience and those in the continental are introduced to the best character in this entire fucking movie, the Badass Adjudicator.

The Adjudicator has one job, she acts as the voice of the Table, the one above all the Continental hotels, she is here for three things, to tell Winston he is given seven days to step down for given John Wick an Hour, tell the Bowery King he has seven days to fuck off for giving John the gun, and tell the Director she will get a cut in both her hands with a Katana as penance for helping Wick.
But why did Wick ask the Roma for help?
What is he planning?
Well he has the marker of someone called Sofia, who currently runs the Moroccan Continental, through her and her well trained dogs, he seeks to meet Berrada her former boss, for some... guidance...
Does that go well? Like Shit it does...

Going to Berrada serves john one purpose, to find a way to meet the one who sits above the Board, the Elder...
And now...
Here is my mad rant about the Assassin's creed....
Wait what?
Well you see in this movie, it is heavily implied that the Continental assassin structure is a continuation of or really heavily inspired by the original Assassin's based off of the Fortress of Masyaf.
And that... that is what Assassin's creed is based on.
The name Assassin comes from Hashasheen follower's of Hasan, Hashshashiyin the one's who eat Hashish, because Hasan used Hashish to trick the member into having a vision of "heaven" and then used this to Radicalize his followers into Fanatics.
This was essentially the middle eastern way of calling them Crack-Heads.
But in this movie, Berrada argues that the word Assassin came from asasiyun meaning men who are faithful and abide by their beliefs(yes this is the movie's line)
In this context, the Table is the main council of the Assassins and the Elder is the modern version of Hassan-i-Sabah or the old man of the mountains, the one who Al-Mualim was based off of, you remember Assassin's creed fans?

The Elder cannot be found, he finds you, in order to find him as Berrada says, you must walk to the end of the desert and then keep walking till you fall, then he will find you, or he will not, John risks it all for a meeting with the Elder, who grants him one last chance at life, bound to the table and not free from it, after he Kills Winston.
In addition to this as per the ancient ways, the Elder asks for John's ring finger which the early Assassin's cut off as a signification of their "marriage" to the order.
And once he cuts off the finger, he gives the Elder his ring, the marriage concluded and John going off to kill Winston.
In his way stands a man called Zero, who runs a sushi shop as a cover, and admires John Wick Greatly.

Now John has a simple way to get out of this conundrum and end it all for good, but then that would be simple, and that's not the way of the John Wick...
And also by this time I had seen Ballerina, and I knew that post the scene where John meets the Director, there is at least one moment where Winston is still the Manager of the Continental, so I knew he had to be reinstated and not dead.
Therefore John and Winston cut a deal to go to war against the board.
If you want peace, prepare for war.
This finally ends up in a Parley.
Which then leads to Winston gaining back the continental only to shoot John in a move qualifying for top ten anime betrayals.
The bowery king was given 7 cuts to make penance for helping John and helps John post his shooting.
And is John angry?
