Daredevil Born again, A slightly different flavor with a darker darkness.

Matt screaming in frustration
Okay it looked angry in the show but here it looks like a meme photo no?

One of the main concerns that people had while going into Daredevil Born Again was whether marvel was going to tone down the darkness in the original show, remove some of the blood or the violence or the themes.

Well, after watching the show, I can confidently saw that all of those things have increased, significantly, I mean Foggy just straight up dies, in the first fifteen minutes of the first episode.

I mean one would think that they will find some way to get him out, something to save him but nope! His heart just gives out, and we hear all of it.

In his rage, Matt finally decides to cross his one line and throughs the murderer off the building.

But of course, we ain't getting rid of Bullseye that easily.

The color grading in this show is definitely different, making it so we can differentiate between objects better, there is a certain graininess to the footage like it is shot on an older camera.

And the aspect ratio as well gives a certain cinematic feel to it.

And the beginning is awesome, complete with the opening where the black bars slowly separate like eyelids opening, bullseye and Daredevil fighting and beating the shit out of each other with knives sticking out of both, in a hallway fight scene which is very characteristic of the original Daredevil Netflix show.

Daredevil vs Bullseye

But there is one thing that this premiere sets out to do, set up the world in which Daredevil and Kingpin will fight, the Angel in Devil's clothing and the Devil in Angel's clothing.

And while some may take issue with stuff such as the toning up of the colors or the Bringing back of Foggy just to kill him off.

I personally believe all of this just makes the show Darker, something we love about Daredevil.

If the internet is to be believed, originally Foggy wasn't even in the show, and in my opinion and everyone else's, that would have been a poor choice.

This beginning took that weakness and made it into a Strength, explaining why Daredevil has been away for so long.

I don't believe this was the only choice, like some people online say that Foggy's story had been told, well, there are some conflicts that can only take place in a so called "complete" life.

It just takes some creativity, but to actually go that far and to do it well, is something that directly spits in the face of those who would hate this show simply because of it's "Marvelness".

There is Marvelness in this show Daredevil, moves much more sharper there is a lot more swinging, his costume is better seen, Bullseye is more comic accurate, and so is White Tiger.

White tiger for those who do not know is the Avatar of a Tiger god, who fights in his costume and uses the power of the Tiger Amulet to channel his rage.

Now, I personally grew up with Ultimate Spider Man, so for me my first White Tiger was Ava Ayala, but regardless,

Hektor Ayala being the one vigilante who still cares acting as a calling for Matt is the best inclusion in this show so far only behind Fisk being the Mayor.

Speaking of which, Kingpin is Mayor.

And he is just as manipulative as ever.

Fisk threatens the commissioner to stop him from leaving.

So the clip that we all saw, where Matthew cannot shake the feeling that Kingpin is Gaming the system, well he is correct in that clip.

Kingpin want's only one thing, and that is control, and not what is best for anyone but him.

Even his wife apparently, who has been running his business alone, and cheated on him, and asks him not to kill the one she cheated with.

Kingpin is trying everything to keep her around, including going to couples Therapy, which for a man like him who does anything for control is really something.

But such is the Aura of Kingpin, that even that feels like a manipulation I mean is it really a coincidence that he is going to the one Therapist that Matt is currently dating?

And as the episode drones on, you see it, the need for Vigilantes and the Disdain people feel towards them regardless, a sick world they call it, that somehow looks cleaner.

And it is in this sick world that Matt tries to go the straight and narrow to prevent a Tragedy like Foggy happening again.

But he fails... And he fails spectacularly

Matt beats a guy senseless

And we have come so far and not even talked about the intro, the theme is awesome, adding church organs and chorus and piano to the og theme is the right choice, and then we have this imagery of Daredevil literally forming from broken bits of statues.

Literally reborn from the ashes.
