Daredevil Born Again Season 2 Episode 6, The Crossroads.(Spoilers!!!)

Fisk Kills the Doctor on Vanessa's case

To say that Hell breaks loose in this episode, would be an understatement, we knew that as the previous episode ended, things will never be the same again, what we weren't prepared for is how things will go to hell.

But at the same time, even as things were being set up, we knew what was coming, in an oh shit please don't kind of way.

For example as Doctor Merati comes into the room with Kingpin and Vanessa in order to comfort him, we already see where this shit is going to go, Kingpin does not deal with things in a calm and reasonable way, my man is not Kratos.

Even though they are both Bald.

It is not exactly clear if he did this just to get his anger out or because in his mind he blames the doctor for not operating properly on Vanessa as the reason for her death.

But it doesn't matter why, what matters is that my man is offered a hug and then breaks the guys spine.

But the violence is gonna go much further.

Daniel tells BB that he is just not feeling his birthday this time.

It is Daniel's Birthday and BB tries her best to sneak her way into his home in hopes of getting more info out of him, but also because, even though she doesn't realize it yet, Karen was probably right about her and Daniel, and it is exactly as complicated as we expected.

Daniel is kind of shaken up after burying the first mate Christoffi, and now that he is in Big time, Buck gives him a task.

The Barium Meal Test.

This is in reference to how Barium is often fed to people as a means of mapping their GI tract for abnormalities, but in the context of the current scene, it means feeding someone false info in order to see if it pops up elsewhere.

And if it does, then the leak is caught as that was only fed to one particular person.

The strange thing is that BB actually begins to fall for Daniel as she sees his room and sees a softer side to him that she probably missed before or was deliberately ignoring, as well the fact that they had the party at his mother's house, probably won her over and she chose not to betray him this time.

Unfortunately Daniel catches the most poorly set up plot point ever in the SD card in her Jacket that she still has for some reason, making me think that when Javi slipped it to her, everyone but the intended target knew what was happening...

And she is a journalist, why can't she have an SD car... you know what, leave it.

Daniel caught a Journalist with an SD card.

Leak plugged lol.

Daniel catches BB Red handed.

Anyways, moving on from DanB, we get a potential hint at Jage... uh no... Lessica.... nope Juke! Ah fuck it, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones had a kid.

In the the Comics Danielle cage grows up to become another iteration of Captain America, foreshadowing?

But as we see in the opening moments of this episode, a group of people break into her house when she is playing with her daughter, and Dani starts playing with a Grenade tossed into the house and Jessica takes it away from her calmly, actually this time unlike Dumbledore, which goes to show how common this kind of violence is for them.

I would presume that she also has some form of Unbreakable skin due to her being Luke Cage's daughter.

But from what she tells when she talks to Matt, it appears that Charles approached her and some of her powered friends to talk to them about such people, and whilst she told him to fuck off, another person probably didn't.

Most likely Cage or Trish, who knows, but I think it's cage and He is probably working with Charles as he continues running Harlem's Paradise as this video suggests.

Jessica's powers are also heavily tied to her emotions and so they go out at the worst time possible which is foreshadowed by her as she mentions her powers glitching out after having Danielle.

Jessica looses her powers right as she punches Powell.
And of course I am already seeing people online calling this lazy writing because the one goon that matters was saved, long live bullshit criticism I guess.

And that is really unfortunate, because as Karen realizes that all her recorded tesitmonials aren't out yet, she goes to the center of the protest in front of Fisk's dungeon where he kept Adam and Rabbit in a snow storm, and projects the video straight on the wall shining a red light on Fisk.

Man Color really plays an important role this season huh.

But an even more important role is played by Fisk's methods of doing bullshit himself and Framing it on others, for eg, sinking the Northern Star only to blame it on Daredevil and then killing both the first mate and the Captain to plug a leak even after they did their jobs.

And More importantly, Saunders, who was a member of the AVTF who in the previous season was horrified by one of his co-officers killing a random kid and then pulling his beany down to justify the murder as him being a masked Vigilante.

And in this season, he betrays the AVTF to Karen and Matt to let them into Red hook so they can free all the prisoners, now as Powell gets in with him in the Transport, we very well know what is going to happen, but the important thing is when it happens.

Powell kills him right in the middle of the ongoing protest, to blame it on the Mob and justify the use of Excessive force, an act that even Seargent Cole North is horrified by, and that makes me wonder if this is going to lead him on a similar path to his comics counterpart of eventually supporting Daredevil and his resistance.

Powell kills Saunders Shocking Sargent Cole North.

But while this is going on Javi gets hit and Angela Del Torro has to go get help while Karen stays with him to make sure he stays alive, and in the middle of it all, Powell finds Karen, which leads me to believe, the last two episodes will see the return of Matt Murdock Attorney at law to fight for Karen.

But speaking of that, Karen is going off the deep end towards a more punisher centric direction as Matt leaves her with Bullseye, she wakes him up and they have a discussion of what happened.

And even after Bullseye has been fixed by Soledad(and not Claire Temple) his stiches and staples hurt as taking him to an hospital would mean a death sentence, something that Karen actually suggests.

And by the time Matt returns, Karen is just about to shoot bullseye and he knocks off the gun right as she fires the shot, although it's not clear if it was the shock of being knocked that caused her to fire the trigger, but on the whole it seems like Bullseye might be turning over a new leaf and maybe we are looking at a future Dark avengers team up?

Dark Avengers has the Iron Patriot though, and in the comics it's Norman Osborn, whilst in the MCU it is just a repainted War Machine.

Guess we will have to see.

Karen nearly shoots Bullseye, and below that a photo of the Dark Avengers in the Comics.

But it is due to this conversation of Justice v/s Vengance that Matt decides to go and talk to Fisk right as the protest is catching steam, a protest that happens right in the middle of a memorial happening for Vanessa, a the protestor call her a part of the problems.

They also start pulling on Masks, as they themselves descend into Violence.

And the lines between good and evil continue to be blurred, as the city descends into chaos, Matt offers Kingpin a final choice, he leaves new-york and so does Daredevil, because their shared violence only leads to the destruction of themselves and what they love, as the continue to tell themselves that this is for the city, when really, it's about them.

And as Kingpin attacks Matt, he breaks the Rabbit in a Snow Storm proving Matt's point.

Splattering blood on its right side, mirroring the ending of Daredevil Season 3, as the painting originally belonged to a holocaust survivor which was stolen by Dex making a blood spot on it, and then as Daredevil and Fisk fought, his blood largened the spot, and now Matt's blood splatters the other side.

And even as they are tired, Kingpin tells Matt that Karen was right, that they are in a stalemate unless one of them does something Drastic.

Arrest me? You Cannot. Kill me? You Will Not. It is what we both want.

But Kingy Boi shouldn't be this overconfident, because The Governor only supported him as long as Vanessa existed to reign him in, and without her, she is backing Shiela, whom we know is the Mayor at least by the time of Brand New Day, so that's a spoiler.

And as well Kingy stole the shipment that belonged to Mr. Charles, who really seems to have had enough at this point, and decides to team up with the Governor to deal with the pin once and for all.

Charles Says to the Governor of New York"I am here to solve your City Hall problem."

And all things considered the man had really high hopes for Fisk, but alas, the Fat boi imploded on his rage, although as we see, he's not really fat, as per the comics and heavily implied in the show, he is almost a 100% pure muscle, and that's why he is huge.

Man even Boxes!

But violence begets Violence and the Muse story line returns as Heather strangely steals some jewelry from Vanessa, I mean she did she her as the only person she could talk to, and I guess she needs a remembrance.

The more interesting part however is that Vanessa did successfully set her up with Buck Cashman and in a moment of weird Foreplay, he asks her to choke him as Muse did her, as a form of reenactment to help her deal with the Trauma, but it seems very likely that she will eventually turn to Violence to help herself cope and become the second Muse, and maybe, even gain the comic accurate powers?

Damn this will be personal for Daredevil, specially if she finds out who he actually is.

The thing is though Buck strangely says the correct things, it's not your fault, he was a crazed murdered etc.

Heather has a Traumatic Flashback of Muse choking her to death.

And once again this show continues to follow the metaphor of Angels and Devils, Angels pretend to be demons to scare/fight evil and Demons pretend to be angels to gain trust.

this is seen in the color scheme of Kingpin's white v/s Daredevil's red/black which is actually peeling of a little now to show his original colors, maybe this time with the DD permanently there to finally give us the comic accurate costume.

Matt is definitely into feet.(I say that because we got the real comic accurate costume in She-Hulk where he slept with Jen and... you know the previous episode... you'll get the rest.)

And As Vanessa's coffin is prayed for, Kingpin lays a red rose on top of her, just like in the dreams, white before she sleeps, blue in the dream to show Poindexter, and red to symbolize the blood after her death, just like the Blood from her temple staining her dress.

Man this show is good.

Vanessa looks at Wilson with a thick glass shard sticking out of her temple.
