Drishyam: the Conclusion, was I correct?

Now let me begin by saying, I know that the choice to replace Akshay Khanna with Jaideep Ahlawat wasn't exactly something they could help themselves with.
So I will try my best to not disparage this movie too much for this, emphasis on try.
So I went in, after writing the article saying that there is no fucking way that this movie beats the Malyalam one, and I was correct.
And not only was I correct, I was correct in how they will fuck it up.
Bollywood likes its clear cut solutions, black and white, and while yes, Drishyam has nothing black and white in any version, the Hindi version leans a little more towards the black and white meaning.
Because yeah he is going against the law and keeping a mother from having her peace, but really, if you think about it.
That man is a rapist, I mean okay, technically we don't know for sure that he has raped someone only that if he weren't killed he very much would have, but come on! He is a piece of shit.
So really, if you think about it, the system simply has a fault, and this man is simply trying to save his Family from it.
In fact this man is so Family, he might just beat Dominic Torreto.

Bollywood also does't like to show Faults in their "heroes".
And you know in the first half, I thought that for a moment Vijay will kill the Grave Digger named Savio D-Souza just to tie up loose ends, or worse, bury him in the empty grave.
But Nope.
One thing we did see is him getting sweaty and loosing control, but once you learn of the set ups he had done in the background of the second movie, the thing actually appears non sensical.
Also, the third movie was all about stuff George glossed over, and how that caught up with him.
But that isn't what happens here, instead he is even more big brain than we ever could have thought.
And that is what this movie is essentially, seeing Ajay Devgn's Big Brain get even Bigger, and while that is still entertaining, it becomes very Avatar 3 in how Formulaic it got.
And as well, they get to keep their clear cut Hero, and while yes, it's supposedly the conclusion, are we really sure with the way things are left?
Like these people went pretty far, and this lawyer was personally insulted.

so...
I guess they just gonna drop it?
Now look all that said, while I am all for character complexity and what not, and therefore I will always like the Malyalam version better, I do feel, like the whole thing about getting the Grave digger questioned is something the Malyalam version should have followed no?
But they did not.
And while, yes, even in The Conclusion the Father takes a much more active role due to his Wife's deteriorating mental condition and it portrays the suicide attempt very well... there is a serious lack of Mystery as in the Malyalam version until Sahadevan appears, we have no clue the fuck is going on, and he looks absolutely demented when he does.

On the other hand, not only did Gaitonde the Hindi counterpart, keep his job, but also, he becomes a much more comic relief character, which is something that was always present in him, but Idk, I might prefer this straight up personal Horror angle that they went with a lot more.
And Besides, maybe they question the Grave Digger in part 4?
I don't know.
What I do know is Drishyam the Conclusion may be Formulaic but is no way a bad movie, predictable and repetitive? absolutely.
But Bad? no.
It's just that I have seen a far superior version of this Film already.
Idk man, I would have loved to see everyone's Jaw hit the Floor when Vijay did the Unthinkable, missed opportunity if you ask me.
And I also know that watching this movie now made my enjoyment of the original less... somehow.
Also there are glaring logical fallacies and dropped plot threads in the Hindi version.
But definitely go and watch it, its worth it, my mixed feelings don't have to be yours.
