This episode has one job, to get everyone on the same page with regards to where everyone is ow that ten years have passed after the matriarch(Zoe) and Patriarch(William) of Rushville have had the Mortal Kombat Finisher's of the hear performed on them.

Anyways now that ten years are gone, this episode gets you o the same page as to where everyone is.

Neither Hal nor John have the Ring, neither is Earth's Lantern, Guy is.

And while both people claim to have moved on, neither actually has.

Hal just came out of Federal Prison, and is still going around asking everyone to make amends, John has become quite successful starting a architecture company with his brother, but at the drop of a hat, the moment his mother mentions Hal wants to apologize, he gets into a car and rushes over.

As he does when Hal dies.

It doesn't even take that much for him to tur his back on his brother.

But there is more, Guy Gardner comes in this episode, and I guess everyone and their mother was theorizing why he is here and how the two are acquainted.

I guess they weren't and John just wanted Hal's Ring that has since been decommissioned and Guy has been given a new ring....

So that explains the ring being different.

But then raises the question... why?

John as far as we know was going to get the same ring, what is the problem with giving Guy that ring?

Is it because of the Ring selection process? Or because they wanted to hide something.

Case in point, the Halogram.
