Ready or Not 2: Here I come, Killing Family is not against the rules.

Poster.

I have been interested in this franchise ever since I saw a clip of the ending where a bride laughs in everyone's face as her family explodes all around her.

I mean have you ever heard of a better advertisement for a movie?

I haven't.

Ready or not! Here I come!

And the fact that I actually watched the full movie right before entering the theatre for the sequel and then I walked into the theatre just late enough so that the movie starts exactly where the last one left off is fucking gold for me.

The ending of the first movie.

But that actually got me thinking, what exactly are they going to do for a sequel to something like this?

I mean I hadn't seen any of the promotional material for this movie other than the poster which showed Ant-Man's daughter with blood all around her and that clip of the first movie's ending.

And that sold me.

This movie kind of goes the most obvious way there was for this film to go and that is there are more families who have signed a deal with Mr. Lebail and they all are fighting her.

"But why?"

Well it appears that all of Lebail's Benefactors know of each other and one of those families is stronger than the others.

Currently the Danforths.

And as one would expect they all must now play the same game with her in order to fight for the seat of power.

All of this is explained to the main characters Grace and Faith by Ellijah wood's unnamed Lawyer character who is the sole voice of Mr. Lebail and holds all his laws in a giant book.

It's un clear what his role exactly is and how he got it, but I think he is either a lesser demon or a human that Mr. Lebail made a different deal with, I say so because He does not explode at the end when everyone else does.

"But Why? The Penguin Story."

I don't know Mr. Penguin leave me alone.

What I do know however is that Mr. Lebail is a very clear parallel to Belial which is a Hebrew term meaning "worthless" or "without worth" (bliy + yaal) and yes I did copy paste that bold sentence from Google AI.

Unfortunately that's the top result now, what can be done?

But it is true none the less, it is used in the old testament to describe wicked Individuals or "Sons of Belial" and in modern literature and Christian tradition it is obviously a prominent satanic figure/ demon.

And you see the signs of this all over the last movie, I mean if the guy in the chair wasn't a dead giveaway.

Ned: The "Guy in the chair."

Lol, okay Ned.

But the point is this above description perfectly describes every single person in this whole circus.

They are all wicked with a capital W, and their deals with Mr. Lebail has made it to where they now own everything, and I mean quite literally everything.

The police, the government, the fucking hospital where they just feel comfortable walking in and gassing people.

Obviously, the world is run by devil worshipers, Hail SATAN!

But what actually happens in the movie and who the Fuck is Faith?

Well I am glad you asked Imaginary person I just made up.

Faith is Grace's long estranged sister who just so happens to be still present as her emergency contact.

Ah yes, the awkward reunion.

Faith and Grace are captured as Grace screams the fuck out at the fucking lawyer.

Yeah, that would be my reaction if I found out that after coming out of a super bonkers situation I am back in it.

But this time the situation is mighty different, there are actually people on Grace's side.

Turns out perhaps they don't have to kill her, she can just marry into one of the families and that family gets the seat of power.

I mean she also must sell her soul to the devil but okay.

That lady dies, unfortunately.

But this gives Grace an idea that she can use later.

As this movie goes over extended family, it has very obvious themes of family being abusive/supportive.

The reason Grace and Faith separated is because Grace ran away, and Faith felt betrayed by her sister, they both accuse each other of chasing "rich dick".

Faith made it, but unfortunately she didn't she's still waiting at tables.

But the way it is talked about i.e. Faith asking grace why didn't she take custody of her when she turned 18, makes me think that they grew up with an abusive family.

And at the end of the day isn't that what the beneficiaries of Mr. Lebail are?

Abusive to the point of killing their father that is. Titus and Ursula Danforth, the main villains of this story, kill Chester the current wearer of the leaders ring, so they get to fight in the battle, as the eldest always fight.

Viraj Rajan.

Too bad for Viraj then as man got sanitized to death.

And his younger brother was such a pussy that he abdicated everything to his wife Martina, without knowing that that means he now owns nothing.

And like every movie ever that has marriage in it we have Maia Jae playing Francesca El Caido daughter of Ignacio El Caido who was Alex's toxic ex and wants revenge on Grace for "stealing him".

Yeah The good lady offering marriage to grace is tricked into killing her father and after she becomes the bridal version of Inigo Montoya gets shot-gunned to death.

"Hello, My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my Father. Prepare to die."

And then her younger brother brings mini machine guns.

Wait what?

Uh... moving on from all that Titus and Ursula are a real pain in the ass right until Titus shows exactly how abusive he is by slapping her around because she didn't want him to waste time on faith.

What to do my bro enjoys slapping around women.

This forces Grace to go after him to save Faith as they use her as bait but after running out of shot-gun shells she asks him to marry her.

And I like this because we got to see Samara Weaving in an Epic Gothic dress and the Goth inside me was intensely happy about that.

Samara Weaving in that peak gothic dress.

But do not worry though, this leads at first to Titus killing Ursula cause she wanted to control him, after realizing what a piece of shit he is and of course killing a family member isn't against the rules, and so after she marries into the Danforth family, she murders Titus with the blood pen they use to sign everything.

And then removes herself from the entire fucking system.

So what happens to the ring of power?

Well if it isn't on someone's finger by the dawn, Mr. Le Bail would be very unhappy, and so after Grace throws the ring in the Goat sacrifice pit and everyone takes the bait.

And then everyone explodes, even Madhu who abdicated but still died... guess he wasn't specific enough.

And Grace and Faith walk off into the sunrise with the goat that was almost sacrificed.

Hail Satan!

Faith and Grace walk off with the Goat.

Also I mean is it just me or did everyone think that Titus was played by fucking Tom Cruise???

Titus "I am not Tom Cruise" Danforth.
But no. My man is named Shawn Hatosy, no where near as cool as the epic Cruise man.
