Ready or Not is a picture I would not have watched were it not for the fact that its sequel was coming out and I was going to watch it the very same day.
The reason is, given what I know of this Movie it is just one of those things that immediately catches your attention and makes you interested but at the same time you want to give it proper time and attention i.e. watch it in a laid back manner and not in the midst of the rush of watching whatever latest show is out so that you don't go on social media and catch spoilers or some shit.
Specially for me because I just want to write reviews on fucking everything the moment it comes out.
So the only thing that would make me watch this shit is if I had to give my honest opinion on the sequel the moment it came out and in order to watch the sequel I would have to watch the first one.
And so I did.
Ever heard the saying that the world is run by the devil? Well the rich in this movie absolutely sold their soul to the devil, metaphorically and as it turns out later quite literally.

And the fact that this reveal of Mr. Le Bail being real only at the very end is actually quite important because throughout the rest of the movie not a single person in the movie is aware of the legitimacy of the story of Victor Le Domas's Story, and yet they just go along with it.
In essence it is a representation of superstitions taking root in humans.
And while almost everyone one of us would like to think that we would be different, the reality is that is far from the truth.
We see through out the movie in multiple ways how and why different people go along with this craziness even though they very clearly know why it is bad

And that is the crux of the movie's message isn't it, even if you knew all this was batshit insane, you would still go with it because money and power.
And I mean all but one of the games are completely harmless right.
Belial or Mr. Le Bail, the main Demon they made a deal with even though they say "Hail Satan" Really did play everyone with this one, it seems my man was just tired of the families himself and that is why decided to turn them against the one person who had it in her to survive till dawn and kill all of them.
And people do resist.
Daniel tries his very best to let Grace get a head start on everyone, even when he captures her, he only does it because Tony is watching, and he poisons their cups to give Grace one last chance.
And he is killed for it.

Alex Le Domas, Grace's husband, tries quite hard initially to run away with Grace, I mean they could have Eloped from the start, but then again maybe he thought she wouldn't pull a bad card.
And even after all his talks of running away and everything, the moment he realizes she won't choose him after all this... And that his brother's dead...
He turns on her...

Ownership, what can I say.
I mean I do understand some his choice here, the person he is ready to betray his whole family for wont be with him so what's the point?
And maybe because he explodes the moment Grace throws her ring at him, there is perhaps some rule about him only surviving if he marries and then elopes? Idk guys.
But in his head, he needs to be with the family now, and then not make the same mistake the next time(so I assume), i.e. live today to fight later.
Grace is a fighter though, and absolutely survives till Dawn.
And then everyone explodes, good riddance.

You know what Grace, that would be my reaction too, you go girl!!
It was especially satisfying to see the young daughter who cries for attention explode with her two murderous kids.
In Laws man, I tell you.
