Avengers Endgame: Encore, worthy watch or pointless re-release?(Spoiler Waring!!!!)

Ever since Doctor Doom has been announced to be played by Robert Downey Junior there has been only one question on everyone's heads, wtf was the point of this? Did Marvel simply hit the Panic Button prematurely as soon as they thought Kang just wasn't working anymore?

Or was it going to be something a little more interesting?

Well the two are not Mutually exclusive.

For one it seems this return has probably been going on in the background for a while, the idea of the Hero of the last Saga being the Villain of this one is epic in all senses.

It could have been set up better but what do I know?

But the thing is, this set up should always have been the way things were going, because the Multiverse Saga is all about two things, giving things that didn't have endings, endings, pulling together all the previous iterations of Marvel under a single banner, and seeing different alternate versions of the familiar universe.

The Last of which was something that was done brilliantly in Fantastic Four First Steps.

and not so brilliantly in Multiverse of Madness and What if...?

You know for a moment I actually thought 838 and 828 was the same universe because of the similar sounding names, but enough of that.

How does bringing Back Robert Downey Junior back as Doom solve this issue?

Well...

In a Multiverse there are endless possibilities, including the one where your Hero is a Ruthless Villain.

And he may not be very happy that his Universe was not a part of the "Sacred" Timeline.

So since your Hero is coming back as a villain, it makes sense that you go back to his last battle.

But is that it? Is that all there is and ever will be to this re release.

I mean yes, there is the very end when the clanging of Iron man's Hammer is intercut with Doctor Dooms mask really striking that parallel in Iron(Haha) but again, is that all there is?

No. There is also the Welcome to Encore Footage at the very beginning where Chris Evans and Robert Downey Junior welcome everyone to this Re Release, probably just like the extra Stan Lee Footage post his death, but that's not anything, The effects and CGI are much much better, but none of this justifies the Re release.

there is also a Mid Credit Scene where The Hulk is now underground in a Bunker where the Hulk is not Getting out and he is working on a New Gamma Inhibitor and then he is captured By Doom, which... really should have been a Brad New Day scene and doesn't really say that much and therefore doesn't justify this re release, I mean really it's not even connected to Endgame, like if someone saw Endgame, and then saw Bruce going crazy and about some Inhibitor, wtf will they understand?

Well I guess, it could be interpret as Prof Hulk being a product of this Inhibitor.

But Idk.

Here is where the Real meat lies.

Steve and Peggy are Dancing together like the ending of the original Movie, and then, Loki comes in, now on the surface this is obviously not that big of a Thing, except it's a Huge thing.

This ending that was all cheery and flowery, isn't all it seems, and the thing is, it doesn't ruin it, because, Steve still ended up an Old man getting to live a Happy life with the woman of his dreams.

But that road wasn't easy.

People Have been asking since the beginning why didn't the TVA have a problem with what Steve did?

Well it turns out they did!

And Loki coming in at the End makes everyone think, oh shit! What is he doing here? Is this the same guy who escaped New York with the Tesseract?

Well yes, we know it is, having watched Loki, but think from the perspective of someone who hasn't if this is the first time they are seeing endgame/ if they only want to watch Doomsday ad came to Encore as a lets re watch this why not? thing.

Because technically the Avengers Movies are direct sequels to each other, everything in between is just extra info if you want to see it.

This is perfect and exactly what the Multiverse Saga should be, an alternative view on something we have already seen.

And then you have the Big Guns, Loki! Employee of All time, so again see it from the perspective of someone who doesn't know, this scene is perfect! Of course there is a Bureaucratic organization over seeing these things, and Loki, Loki is somehow held in high regard here.

So they see an Incursion and then the Earths start attacking each other...

And then there are 3000 Incursions... That's interesting...

The Multiverse is collapsing.

Now you may think I am being Biased, but this is true! This works!

Because when I saw Infinity war, that was actually my first time seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy in fact I hadn't even seen the early MCU movies like Captain America thew first Avenger, it just wasn't for me.

But the one movie where you see The Guardians kicking ames and taking ass, and I got my new favorite Franchise.

So if this is what it takes, then this is what it takes, except for the Bruce Banner thing everything else is perfect and ads very well on to Endgame, I was still hoping for that Kneeling scene, and for greater hints that Doom is manipulating all this, like they did with the Steve and Peggy scene, But I would argue that seeing the entire movie being unchanged actually takes you off your Guard when something does actually change.

Idk its a you gain some you loose some situation.

No onto Doomsday eh?
