Daredevil Born Again Episode 8, I did not expect that...

As we approach the end of this series, I begin to feel more and more of the old feelings that I felt when watching the first season of Daredevil, and it is for good reason.
In terms of the real world stuff, this is probably because towards the end it is done more by the new team vs the old team, the new team which actually consists of the original show runner and people from the Netflix stuff.
See originally they were going to have a much different version of this show, a version which was more of a legal Drama and Matt wasn't going to be in the Daredevil suit until quite a bit and Karen and Foggy would have been killed off screen.
That version is mostly present in the second to sixth episode, a version which is much more toned down, mellow, and low key.
I am happy to say that that is not the version we will get going forwards, we will get this version, and it is leagues better than anything I could have hoped for, but secondly, from a more story perspective Matt has been living a lie, in a façade created by Kingpin that he is safe, that he is free from his Darker half, that Daredevil is no longer needed.
Well it all comes crashing down this episode, as Matt realizes just how deeply entwined into his life Kingpin actually is, how close he is to him, and how Matt has been playing right into his hands the entire time.
And so in this environment, he begins to unravel, become more unhinged, as the devil in him rises again, and shows him the true colors of the city around him, and this Tonal shift is emblematic of that.
But let's back up a bit, the rose hasn't fully bloomed yet.

No this rose takes it's time to bloom, and it began to approach a bloom in the last episode when Heather killed Muse.
An Artist whose art was born of blood and so it ended in blood.
This act puts a lot of strain on Heather's morality, so much so that she blames her act on "Masked Vigilantes" saying that they only perpetrate violence and this passes from one person to another.
"I saved me, they were out for themselves..."
A twisting of the truth very similar to the one done by Kingpin, one that drives a wedge between Matt and Heather, but without context, Matt appears as the controlling boyfriend, further so when he insists that Fisk being her client is the worst thing ever.
Parallel to this artist murder is the murder of Adam, by Vanessa in this episode.
For the last many episodes, we have been seeing Adam locked up in an underground jail cell by Fisk, it is on Adam that Fisk takes out all his Darkness, and it is in front of him and him alone that he indulges in all that he has left behind for his Mayorship.
In a strange way Adam is his confidant, more so than Venessa, he knows more of him than anyone, and he is also his worst nightmare.
Where Matt confides in his friends, Fisk confides in his enemies, but in the end, when he reveals the Truth, Fisk's wife chooses him and kills Adam, to be with him, not in self Defense, but as an act of love.
And once again, Fisk and Daredevil oppose each other, the Angel in a Devil's clothing, and the Devil in Angel's attire.
But let's talk about that blue rose, the thing about it is, Blue roses aren't Naturally available, they must be cultivated, in this sense, they are used to represent both a affront to nature and a symbol of Hope, that something can exist, in spite of Nature.
Very poignant then that this episode opens on a Blue rose in front of Bullseye's cell...

This episode has been very revelatory, and one of these revelations is that which should have been obvious in hindsight but wasn't, the fact that queenpin had Foggy killed by hiring Bullseye.
This episode leads with Bullseye being shifted to general prison from solitary confinement in an attempt by Vanessa to cover her tracks.
But he is smart, he calls an unraveling Daredevil hoping he will do exactly what he did and beat him up when he is harmless, and as he did, Poindexter(bullseye) pulls out a tooth and uses it as a weapon in a moment straight from the comics, escapes, and tries to kill Kingpin.
The good defend even their worst enemies from certain harm, and so, Daredevil saves Kingpin from the bullet, sealing both their fates...
Now only the Season Finale remains.
