Daredevil Born Again Episode 9, There is no act too evil...(Spoilers!!!)

There is a lot to say about this episode, firstly, it is very apparent that this was supposed to be a mid season thing and not a Finale, but Marvel took a step back and decided to switch tracks in between and that is great, because if this is how the show is going to be, then I am all in.

But enough of that, let's get into the meat of it shall we?

I mean Kingpin definitely got his hands into the meat of Commissioner Galo.

Galo dies

And it is because of shit like this and the presence of the Punisher, that this episode is by far the bloodiest and the goriest of them all.

The Punisher is called to look after Matt by a returning Karen Page, who as chosen the precise time to come back when the wool that matt had pulled over himself to make himself believe that the system is working is pulled from him.

Through out this season there has been this sense of things being cleaner than they are supposed to be, everything is so nice... too nice...?

And then finally now, it all comes crashing down, it is as they say, evil can slip through the cracks when you feel the most comfortable, precisely when you think you have won is when you need to be the most vigilant against it.

But alas, like it is the case in so many instances, the truth only comes forwards when it is already too late.

The Fisks had used red hook port to move millions and launder money legally, now with Kingpin as the mayor, they can move Billions.

Because that port is a free port, and that is what Foggy had uncovered, and why dumb Benny's case was about to be thrown out, but that would have turned out poorly for the Fisks, so they got Bullseye released and had Foggy killed.

But now that Bullseye is a loose thread, they will have him killed too.

The same treatment they will give to Matthew Murdock, making him a Martyr and removing a live vigilante as they say.

Showing that to a true politician and/or crime lord, there is no act too evil if it can be spun for "the greater good".

Kingpin orders the death of Matt Murdock.

But the battle isn't over, there will merely be a period of respite while Matt gathers his army to fight against the brutal anti vigilante task force put together by the Kingpin, who will shoot kids in the streets and call them masked vigilantes just to justify it to themselves.

Create a problem and sell a solution, that is exactly what todays politics is and that is exactly what Fisk does when he causes a city wide black out and establishes martial law declaring war on all "Vigilantes".

Strange that the Sokovia accords only just got repealed.

The Punisher breaks free though by tricking one of his fan boy cops into "giving him a hand"

So I guess now all that remains is to wait while the Punisher One Shot comes out and the upcoming Daredevil and Defenders show develop on this plot thread and wonder what could have been if the entire show was given to the new team, but hey, what we got isn't that bad either no?

Heather accepts Fisk's offer to be his commissioner of Mental Health.
