Daredevil Born Again Season 2: Truly Epic shit.

Daredevil Born Again had an uphill battle to fight from the very beginning, one that it almost won from the very first scene where Daredevil and Bullseye fought each other to near death while Foggy bled out from his shot.
What a strange turn of events it is then that by the end of season 2 episode one, Bullseye comes and saves Matt from the Anti-Vigilante task force.
Even more strange that this turn of events actually makes sense, given that the hit on Foggy called in by Vanessa needed to be covered up, and Bullseye essentially became a loose end, and was almost killed.
Not to mention, the AVTF probably sees him as a masked Vigilante anyways.
And we come to this strange impasse where these two are yet again on the same side.
Legit, unpopular opinion, Bullseye and Daredevil have the makings of a great friendship/partnership.
Before stating I am wrong keep in mind that Bullseye in spite of having Anti-Social Personality disorder he tried, he really tried to go the right way, he was played, played by Kingpin like a fiddle, yes he was creepy as fuck around Julie Barnes, but like... compared to kingpin?
I mean men who have done worse than him have been allowed redemption so why not him?

Especially if he actually tries?
But we will get to that later, the much bigger and upfront thing in this season is Daredevil's new costume, it finally has the double D D on on the chest that almost every costume in the comics had.
This costume was foreshadowed at the end of the previous season when the light at Josie's goes in and out switching the costume from black to red and back again.

It seems that this change is mainly due to Black being more preferable for stealth, as it is not very easily seen in the dark.
Speaking of what is seen, can I just say that Born Again is an absolute masterclass in creating absolutely artistic still frames in the middle of the episode, there is the one above.
The one with Muse Splayed over his supposed Final artwork.
and then there is the scene that is two minutes in where Matt hones in with his senses on the ticking of a watch that he places in the crates in order to find it later.
The same trick he used on James Wesley in season 1 to detect him coming for him, and then at the end of Born again season 1 to detect Buck coming for him.

The Dall-E zoom matched with the absolutely gorgeous red lighting as the ship is sinking and on high alert is absolute chef's kiss.
And yes, the ship sinks, a deliberate choice by Wilson in order to protect his goods and blame it on Daredevil if it comes to it.
Safer Streets, no Warrants, no due process, just get the masked Vigilantes off the streets.
Emergency powers, Martial Law and strict curfew, powers that usually no Mayor can grant himself without higher help.
A fact that the Attorney General personally comes to point out to him.
But it would seem he does have help from high up...
As Mr. Charles a guy with a Burner Phone and a call from Contessa Valentina Alegra De Fontaine comes to save the man at the right time.

But this Mr. Charles, he really is a Character huh? This man just walks into the Mayors office, eating casually like no one's business, he has multiple burner phones that he destroys as soon as they are used, so he can't be traced.
He casually insults Vanessa Fisk and then just continues to act pompous and arrogant.
I mean... I guess he isn't Russian.

But it is he who further undermines Kingpin's authority by not only suggesting but actually getting ol'Kingy to agree on letting his, Charles's Men retrieve all the goods, because no one can know what's in them so any men sent will have to be killed.
And as Kingy says.

But dude, what the fuck you on about?
A not insignificant portion of this episode is dedicated to the Captain and the First mate of the Northern Star trying to get away from the Anti-Vigilante Task Force.
The Captain actually failed to do so, he is captured, tortured, and then Buck comes in and kills him.
And it totally sucks.

He did his job, like he was asked to, and then he became a loose end.
Buck does not seem happy about this however, and it seems that he might soon break.
Thing is, we saw similar individuality in Wesley, but then he died before he could act on anything.
Speaking of Daredevil Season 1 BB Urich, the niece of Ben Urich is still doing her reports but unlike the last season where they were reporter on the ground type interviews that actually questioned what was happening in the city, but now they are just Propaganda for Fisk as Daniel Blake threatened her on his behalf.
But withing the clips of the BB Report that make the AVTF look like friends of the people, comes a glitched in fake version of Kingpin that exposes the propaganda for what it is.
By the looks of it, it looks as if this is also BB, using a mask to get the real truth using B roll in her footage that she deliberately cut out to keep up the image that she is selling the Propaganda for Fisk.

The look also appears to be inspired from the Max headroom incident, where an episode of Doctor Who was hacked mid-airing and a random guy starting spouting nonsense for no reason.
But perhaps this is not BB.
Perhaps there is more to story.
You see the biggest critic of Kingpin in the previous season who spoke up against him using his art was none other than Muse.
But Muse is dead...
And to that I say... not really... and here's how...

Now I know what you are going to say, that is just Heather's trauma coming to haunt her after nearly being killed by muse.
And yes it probably is, but here's two problems with that.
One, in the comics Muse dies, goes to hell and comes back with stronger powers.
And two, there are two Muses in the comics, and the second one is female.
And obviously every theory channel and their mother has had the time of day theorizing about how heather will probably become the next muse.
I mean think about it.
Everytime this guy comes in front of her she takes one step closer to being fully corrupt, and making a mockery of the system she claims to uphold.
Just like the DA.

But also, who better to criticise Fisk right?
But also maybe its not her, maybe the real Muse is returning soon.
And speaking of Returning, Matts Trauma of Foggy's death returns to him when one of their checks comes back with an N from Cherry.
And Matt realizes Cherry is in Danger, but apparently not just from the AVTF, Cherry gets a heart attack distracting Matt just enough for the AVTF to unmask him.
And that's when Bullseye comes in.
And you know what his arrival makes me think?
It makes me think that either we are in for a very interesting season where these two work together, which will obviously be awesome.
Or,
The Secret life of Foggy Nelson is happening.
What does that mean?
"The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson" primarily refers to a pivotal 2006 comic book storyline (Daredevil Vol 2 #88) where Matt Murdock's best friend and law partner fakes his death to enter witness protection.
And yes that's a copy paste from Google AI.
