I did not know what better cover image to choose for that episode that just happened.
You see I always kind of hate how certain shows end episodes with cliffhangers just to get you to watch the next one only to then resolve it in the very first shot and then the rest of the episode is about something else.
Now this episode does that, but somehow it uses it to it's advantage, Vought should have faced a lot of public backlash from the fact that they potentially hid the truth, and then that should have blown back towards Jordan and the rest of the group.
Well the latter part happened but not in the way one would expect, for one Vought just spun the whole thing into a "Woke plague" spreading through God U and the very thing about Jordan that they were using to prop them up is now being used to discredit them.

As if it wasn't already enough that they were oversimplifying being Bi-Gender to being Trans, and I am also a hundred percent sure they thought Trans was just M to F or F to M but okay that aside.
The reason that the show dealing with this in the first maybe ten minutes of this episode is a good thing is because it shows the power of the Vought media Machine and how it spins even the worst possible things into a win.
I'm getting very hard Homelander after Transoceanic Flight 37 vibes here.

But beyond that, the even greater example of how powerful the Vought Machine is, is how once they are able to spin this whole thing into a win for themselves, they are able to make Marie and Jordan fight each other and do it willingly.
See one thing I left out in my last blog post was how every character in the main team, especially Jordan Acknowledged exactly how fake everything is at God U, and while once they would have given up anything for the Number one spot, right now, they want nothing less.
But given that one of the things everyone wants is to not let them or their friends go into Elmira, they are forced to agree.
Not to be one to give up easily the team rather choose to go to Cate for help, which would be a good idea, given that right now she hates Cipher just as much as each of them if not more, were it not for the fact that the brain injury she received has left her powers on a fritz, making it so that when she wants a guard to give her the keys to Cipher's place, he instead, starts violating a garden Gnome.

But why is she doing that you may ask?
Well in order to know what's in Cipher's secret Safe, which is of course in his house.
You see in the many times that Cate has been to see Cipher, she heard some noise coming from behind him and realized that there is something the man is keeping secret.
And what else can it be other than a polio Patient...
Okay no I am being silly, you see hidden in the back of his house is a giant horizontal Cylinder, which is all it would have been for me were it not for Chicago med season 7 episode 14.
It is there that I learned what an Iron Lung... wait what this is not an Iron Lung? The fuck is an Hyperbarric chamber?

No I know the differences, for one your head is outside in the Iron Lung.
Anyways, inside this Horizontal Cylinder is a Burn victim, and as soon as this guy showed up on screen every person including me lost their minds over it.
Is this Thomas Godolkein? is the the burning Ass guy?
Or hey is this the real Cipher?
Is he all three? Did Thomas Godolkein also have his ass explode? These are the questions that matter people.
Well all of these questions arise because while these two are sneaking into Cipher's Apartment, Marie decides to distract the man by agreeing to his stupid training regime where she tries to raise Elon Musk without bursting him.
Don't worry he is a goat, although if it was the real deal I wouldn't be sad that he exploded.

And Elon Musk Explodes because Marie is distracted by Cipher knowing about her knowing about Project Odessa and the fact that he has no V in his system.
A fact that is made infinitely more complicated by the fact that he still has superpowers somehow.
And this becomes complicated not just for the theorists, it also becomes Complicated for the main characters as they hatch an ill fated plan of blackmail through a camera placed by Emma while Cate pretends to have her powers back while talking to Cipher during the match.
Initially it seems that Cipher will fail, because Marie and Jordan just go into the ring and kiss, until Cipher takes over Jordan and attacks Marie, forcing her to make Them Levitate and hence "unlocking her power" further.
So the prevailing theory right now, is that Cipher is a meat puppet being used by "his father" in the Hyperbaric Chamber, and the second is that he is a blood Mage on a level above Marie and that is why he knows her powers, and the meat puppet thing is just him controlling their bodies through their blood.
But if that is true then why does he need Marie?
Who knows!
