Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die! A movie about AI that is as whimsical as it is terrifying.

Movie poster.

I will admit it right here, the only reason I went to this movie is because of the title, like seriously, whoever made that shit deserves a raise.

And that is not even beginning to talk about the Trailers that played in front of every single movie that I ever watched, speaking of in front of every trailer, did you know that originally Trailers were meant to play after or, "trail" a movie...

Anyways, moving on from that, Just like the name of this movie, the movie itself is a very whimsical story about something incredibly dark.

The very first sequence is meant to be an allusion to a public suicide bombing, except its not really, because the button that he keeps his finger on and pretends to have a bomb on his person with, is actually a button for a time machine, to add to the Satire aspect of this movie, he says that this piece of clothing that looks like a bomb vest, is actually the peak of fashion where he is from.

Showing just how truly fucked the future is.

"This is the height of fashion!"

And just like every sweet mama's boy who thinks they can start a revolution by attacking a random restaurant, homme du fails even when he thinks he has succeeded, but we will get to that later.

First let me talk about the multiple perspectives that this film employs to better make us understand, exactly how fucked this world is.

There is the perspective of Mark and Janet, two school teachers who work in a school where kids are allowed to constantly be on their phones all the time, and the teachers can do nothing about it, where a student can call a teacher older than a tree and not only get away with it, but threaten anyone who dares to stand against her.

And when Mark touches a phone enamored by the "hypnotic images" a pyramid shows up on every screen triggering every single one of them to attack both Janet and Mark, that's right kids, no teacher has been going on Sabbatical, its all to do with the hypnotized teens.

And on the topic of schools, school shootings!

Like literally there is a plot point where some parents come over to a grieving mother who just lost her son to a school shooting and try to sell a product to her that will give her her son back.

A future where even something like a school shooting is a means for capitalism to progress, and what's more, the "revived" clone boy can also be brought with ads!

America!

And what gives this grieving mother some relief finally?

Why an AI recreation of course!

Alluding to how even today people resurrect their dead loved ones using AI.

And as a counter to all of the above, exists Ingrid, someone who is literally allergic to cellphones and Wifi.

Her existence is made a living hell by the fact that no one can even breathe without mobile phones.

She is quite literally allergic to tech.

This seems to be making the point that, our society IS actually non inclusive to such people.

And what is a good satire without an ending where it actually becomes a fantasy movie.

Introducing, the AI that destroys the world!

A child in a yellow-striped shirt stands amidst raging flames, evoking a dramatic and intense atmosphere, with a dark rocky foreground.

Now here is the thing, he is not actually the AI obviously, he is a representation of itself in a virtual world the AI created in order to tempt Ingrid, which speaking of, why this little boy?

Well because he was a clone body the AI ordered as a cover to make everyone believe that a little nine year old boy is building it, but really it's building itself.

Something that has really advanced to a point that it can mind control and build itself before gaining consciousness.

But also, Ingrid? Wasn't she allergic?

Well she is, and she is the key to solving everything, as she is the one who is able to install the safety protocols into the AI, to keep it from going full ballistic.

Silhouette of a person stands before a massive, glowing vortex in a dark, atmospheric setting, evoking mystery and awe.

But not in the way the above shot would suggest.

But speaking of that one shot, isn't this a classic fantasy movie shot?

One woman standing against this huge insurmountable evil?

Well she succeeds...

Until she doesn't...

The AI will do anything to save itself, including making a world where everyone thinks it has been destroyed...

So fuck all of that, give everyone what she has, an allergy to tech...

But speaking of, isn't that a little too late now?

Oh also there is a giant monster made out of cats that walks like a centaur.

Its not that that isn't important or anything, I just haven't quite fully registered it yet.

Giant Cat Centaur Monster.

It is at this point that you realize, yeah this is making fun of everything on the internet.
