Man, I gotta say, even though I knew what was coming in this episode after the last episode, when I saw it happen with my own eyes and with this amazing animation, I was still transfixed on the screen.
Strange, since I began the blog posts on this season of Invincible by heavily criticizing the animation, but you know what, it seems they simply played it smart, they dedicated more resources where it would matter more.
As Thaedus and his team get ready to go to Viltrum, Allen asks the most obvious question.
We all would love to kill Thragg, but how would we deal with

And I guess Thaedus either actually thought this through and knows that Viltrumites will scatter and fight within themselves without his leadership, or he is just bullshitting to get his way.
I don't know which way to think.
But one thing is clear, this version of Optimus Prime is certainly not as heroic and Altruistic, he has bigger plans, and perhaps dying himself alongside Nolan, Oliver and Mark.
No Viltrumite should be left alive.
And we get a hint of this as Nolan and Thaedus talk whence Nolan tries to make Thaedus see reason, that there is probably hope for all Viltrumites, like there was for him.
And he just doesn't respond.

But the thing is, Thragg actually gets a lot of screen time and Development, we learn that in the past, before the Betrayal, Thragg respected Thaedus, they had fought together, and even as Thaedus expresses opinions contrary to what the other Viltrumites want, Thaedus refuses to act, even as Argall tells him he should if he sees fit.
We also see how Thaedus's Ideology grew, to rise against your oppressors is a show of Strength, and the Viltrumites respect strength... so shouldn't they then respect insurgency?
Should they not understand that it is their ways that cause them to go that route?
No just cull the population by 25% and Bob's your uncle yeah?
And because Thragg doesn't act, Argall dies...
He very obviously blames himself, and as we see him order the great purge to root out their weakness, he goes into the Throne room and Isolates himself, different from the comics where he fought himself and proved himself as the strongest.

But this actually shows why he is the way he is, he is in pain, and he is in Denial, he doesn't want to let the Empire of Argall go, and he tries very hard to change their destiny.
And in his emotions, he calls Nolan to come home again...
As your fear against him grows, you also feel for the man.
He really says it like a hurt Family member.

But it is in this conversation that Nolan learns what is at the core of Thragg's belief, the Planet Viltrum, his home...
And he makes a decision.
And as we see what is about to happen, everyone in the show as well as the audience are frozen solid, we can't help it, and then we see three generations of Viltrumite break the old world to make a new one.

But it isn't without consequence, by this moment, Oliver has once again had his jaw broken by Thragg, poor boy, he is really trying, Zoe had ten beetle Darts in her Tech Jacket, and she run out.
And that is really a bummer because these Darts make the Viltrumites squishy almost like the humans they consider to be so meaningless, and Thragg, is strong enough to take Mark's strongest Punch directly on his skull.
I mean his skull literally Flashes red.
Mark, who was Strong enough to Kill Conquest twice, something that surprised literally everyone.

Now, he is a man with nothing to loose, and we know why we must fear them right.
And as Thaedus asks for Surrender, Thragg does what we knew was coming.

Seeing Thragg cry like this is truly something, three seasons ago, everything changed when we saw a Viltrumite crying(Nolan) and now once again we see everything change as another Viltrumite cries in rage.(Thragg.)
I guess we will never know now if after Victory Thaedus would have killed Mark Nolan and Oliver too.
The battle rages on and Thragg chases Nolan and Mark down, disembowels one and is about to kill Mark when he sees the remnants of Planet Viltrum, and realizes a horrific truth.

And yes, they are, they were forty when they started, and now they are maybe six or seven?
As Nolan Oliver and Mark are saved by the Coalition under Allen's leadership, and they wake up, one question remains, where did they go?
Mark and Nolan heal quickly, while Oliver is healing in a Bacta Tank like Darth Vader in Star Wars.
Allen, Telia, Nolan and Mark have a meeting to discuss what is up.
And it is Mark who puts two and two together.

And honestly, I thought this is where the season would end but... there is still one episode left.
And I have no clue what they are going to do here, and the name, "don't leave me hanging here, isn't helping."
WHY PRIME VIDEO WHYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!.
