IT: Welcome to Derry Episode 8, A Motherfucking Miracle...

So well it would seem that IT: Welcome to Derry actually wasn't a prequel, I mean well it was, but not for everyone at least...

But we will get to that a little later when things naturally get there.

First and foremost, Shaw is an idiot.

And he dies in the most Satisfying way possible.

Good riddance bro, killing your childhood bestie's nephew like that.

But there is way more to this episode than just Shaw getting his face chomped off by Pennywise.

For one, I believe that at least this episode or rather this season, is a clear parallel to the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin.

Like if it wasn't the imagery of Students enamored by the deadlights following the Pennywise carriage while floating in the air then there is the theme of the kids paying for the mistakes of the Adults.

Leroy Hanlon, General Shaw, Dick Halloran, everyone has unknowingly or knowingly spent their entire time and effort making sure that the entity could escape its cage, sure many of them like Ingrid were enamored by the entity itself.

But shitty behavior is Shitty behavior.

And while yes, there are a lot of similarly satisfying moments throughout the entire episode like when Patty gets taken in by the entity using its deadlights form, the main question remains: Why is Pennywise confined to Derry in IT Chapters I and II if he was broken free in the last episode?

And not only was he broken free, the pillar was burnt in a molten hot furnace... So what now?

Well that is one way to do it I guess, if the Dagger is made from the same Material that keeps the entity caged, then it can surely replace the missing Pillar no?

The thing is though, the Dagger has a sort of one ring to rule them all effect on everyone that touches it, it want's to return home, and it manipulates its wielders.

The kids are all on their way to kill the clown with the Dagger when the clown does as it does and separates Marge from the entire group.

Why her specifically?

Well...

Yesterday, Tomorrow, it's all the same to little ol' Pennywise...

As a cosmic entity he sees time differently, but he is currently caged, caged in Derry, where he spreads his terror little by little.

And so, even though this is a Prequel technically speaking, For the entity, this comes after the events of IT chapters 1 and 2

And I guess that is what is going to happen going forwards to season 2, as by the end they reveal that this is only Chapter 1, they are going to go further back!

And the entity, will continue to try and save itself, sometimes as a clown, sometime as a fucking bat Clown Hybrid.

But it seems that just like this time, his insistence on fear first led to Leroy bringing Dick into the fold and hence trapping him in his own mind long enough for the dagger to be taken to the correct point.

However it doesn't want to go in, it resists with a surprising amount of force.

And right in that moment...

The dead exist as ghosts in the world of IT, and Dick can see them, and it is through his eyes that we see Rich coming through, flipping off Pennywise and helping the kids by being the final push that they needed to dig it in.

Rich as a ghost attends his own funeral where Dick tells them that the hand they feel on their shoulders is their son, and he will always be there...

Because I think I will need it.

Ingrid is in Juniper hill and is revealed to be Mrs. Kersh someone who was there when Beverly and her dad saw that Bev's mom has killed herself.

And that is why the entity takes her for to scare Bev.

Dick goes off to look after a Hotel(Shining much?), and Will decides to stay as Ronnie leaves.

I hear that Ron dies by the time of the movies, Idk, haven't seen them...

Maybe I will now that I have seen and liked this...
