Vision Quest Episodes 5 and 6: Shit actually got scary.
![Two men in a dark, neon-lit scene face off as one grabs the other's throat; subtitles read [grunts] [crowd screaming]](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/84219a_df15051dfdac458ea00e276bf60489a5~mv2.png/v1/fill/w_980,h_452,al_c,q_90,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/84219a_df15051dfdac458ea00e276bf60489a5~mv2.png)
The above is a scene from episode 6 when Paladin and Vision are threatening each other's Children right before they decide to work with each other to escape the hunters.

Okay Jokes on my horrible writing aside, I have been wanting to say this for a While but it is absolutely peak to see the Vision just be the Vision while also being a normal Father and a family man.
If the scene where he philosophies another version of himself out of being a murder bot wasn't enough.
We have at least three more versions of that going on right here.

Vision is a Quantum Computer, or at least his brain housing his consciousness is, and as such he can calculate and think at a much larger and faster rate than most people, so obviously he most of the times knows what the other person is going to speak before he even begins.

And one of the strangest things that I did not expect but makes a weird amount of sense actually is that Vision is being drawn as a parallel to Speed just like Wanda is a parallel to Wiccan.
He can slow things down and react to things at a very high speed almost like he is stopping time, and can phase through objects and like that so can Speed.
And speaking off, I did not expect him to get his name by getting a toy sown in his arm but thinking it is a Bomb.

But hey at least my man is now permanently related to Keanu Reeves and that is something most people would die for.
And that of course brings me to the point where Vision goes into excruciating detail of how he can kill Palladin's Daughter.

And I mean I can't be the only one who thought of Bayek screaming at his child's killer and becoming this monster of a man very different from his normal mild mannered disposition..

Now I guess this is to say that this Vision has held to his idea of: I am not the old Vision, Grace in their failings and what not.

But speaking of Grace in their failings, let's actually talk about Ultron, Quoting Vision.

And I think that line on its own should tell you way more than anything else.
Ultron has changed, because while yes, we do see him join hands with a murderous psycho bot and kill a woman as a strategic move.
I think in a way, he is doing all of this, for love.
Ultron has been called many things, lonely, unique, in pain, and that is exemplified way more when we see multiple versions of him talking to himself.

But one thing he is definitely not, is a fan of strings.
Or, being limited, caged.
Now, when Jocasta reveals her plan to mind control Humans into a hive minds to work better together.

Right before Kissing her, he says it in a very specific way.

Jocasta and Oedipus are a very famous story, and it does not end well for either of them.
And it doesn't end well for them in the comics because Jocasta defects to "the good side" and becomes an advocate for synths.
You know it is kind of insensitive in hindsight that she was the face of the Tutorial character in Marvel Future fight

To be clear, the above is a joke.
However, in the comics, she was created from the brainwaves of Janet Pym, the wife of Hank Pym who created Ultron in the Comics, so... things are different here, and when Vision lets Ultron go, he says a very specific thing.

And he gives him a hat, almost like he is giving him his blessing.
Vision, Knows something, and it seems that what he knows is.

Oh look me comparing something to Lucifer, How original.
However, the point I am making is, I think while Vision is clearly angry at Ultron, he realized something very important.
Ultron did not need to give them any freedoms, he could have made it so that they couldn't even see what little they did, the five of them would inevitably still reach to the same conclusion that they must drop the Firewall, the black and white recreation of events is a brilliant way to focus on the main thing, show the power these machines have that they ca run entire communications in microseconds, and to have actual James Spader next to Tommy instead of Paul Bettany.
But in Universe, there is no immediately obvious purpose of this in universe, unless of course, Ultron wanted them to find this stuff out.
I mean yes he did, when it comes to them finding out that Palladin and him became pen pals and that he has Tommy, but what about the conversation between him and Jocasta.
I don't think Ultron made a mistake, he wanted them to see that.
But why?

But surely this is a misdirection, or some manipulation.
Well no.
He legitimately wants to go after Jocasta, and wants freedom and see art, that is it.
He kills, but only as a part of some plan.
Not always necessary killing but no indiscriminate killing at least.

I seems there is only one outcome now, Ultron turning on Jocasta and provig Vision right, or at least, partially right.
Because the whole thing of Ultron just becoming the evil guy again is kinda boring no?
But let's talk about Jocasta actually being a Human turned AI and being essentially a self hating human who wants to destroy humanity, now that isn't a new trope by any means but it is one Marvel is leaning into in this phase.
Misguided revolutionaries. Who think they are ushering in the future, doing good, but really they cause more harm.
We saw it in Bastion.

We saw it in Agatha.

We even saw it in Power Broker and Karli Morgenthau.

And now we see it in Jocasta...
But like Ultron said, we are lacking a deuteragonist, and in a move that is genuinely surprising, somehow everyone online is unable to see that he isn't talking about himself ruling beside Jocasta.
The same people who could tell that Philomena Cunk is an AI, a theory I did not believe to such an extent that I did not mention it before.
But they can't tell that Ultron is clearly talking about the one who uploaded her consciousness into the body of Jocasta.
And I think there is only one candidate for that.
Jim Hammond Human Torch.

She created him, and he wanted to save his mother.
And given that the show immediately cuts to someone cutting the power in a very AI way and speaking directly to Vision and Palladin as the Client, I think it's fair to say that he is the Client, although, Madripoor has to be a connection to the Power broker no?
Two things can be true at once.
For eg, who is she talking to in this scene?

But anyways, the Client seems to want to help Vision, even if he did give Palladin the S.W.O.R.D. shut down scan code.
Tactical like Ultron.
A lot of Ghosts from the past returning in this episode, like Raza al Wazar, who was in Iron man 1 as a Ten Rings Terrorist,

And Wanda Vision.
Techically Ultron is also a Ghost from the Past.
The question is of course will they fall in the same Trap as Wanda Vision or do the smart thing and have Ultron betray Jocasta ending their ill fated love.

And Speaking of Illfated Love, Lisa gets Mind probed by Jocasta right after she confesses her feelings for Tommy, and starts acting very much like Coat of Arms from the Comics.
So if I were to Venturer a guess, she comes back after Tommy frying the bug out of her brain, she comes back changed.
Hey remember this scene from the Trailers.

And it is not Lost on me that Ultron and Jocasta's mind control looks very much like Scarlet Witch's mind control.
this family does have a thing for Red....
Heads...
Anyways....
What! Lisa looks like Wada! Come on!!!
I want to see Tommy when he finds out that this Vision was the one meant to kill Wanda not her husband.
