Daredevil Born: Again Episode 8: The World Flipped on its head.

Kingpin walking into the courtroom as Matt's Witness.

Daredevil is called the man without fear for a reason, and I guess, facing his greatest fear is definitely something he was going to do, specially if Kingpin went down with him.

Every minute, every single minute of this episode was filled with one after another epic twist just coming at you knocking you down and not letting you get up.

We all guessed to a certain extent that Daredevil was going to come out and reveal his identity in open court so that he could testify against Kingpin, what we didn't know how epically badass it was going to be and how epically bad ass the rest of it would be.

The Strategy from the beginning was to appeal to the court of public opinion in order to depose Kingpin and question the validity of the court itself.

A strategy that lead to Daredevil coming back to court limping, and still he calls to the witness stand, the one person who probably gains the most from this trial succeeding.

 "We welcome Mr. Murdock's self-sabotage."

Question is of course, why would you do that?

Like yes, shocking moment but why?

Well because you need to establish that Daredevil was on the boat right, and you need another person to corroborate his testimony, because he is you know, a lawless vigilante... and who other to do that then Christophi Sava the first mate of the Northern Star.

Now the Northern Star or the Pole Star is a star only ever visible in the Northern Hemisphere, and placed uniquely so that it never changes positions in relation to the Earth no matter the seasons or the time of the Night.

It always points due north.

And that connects to so many things in Daredevil, for one Bullseye was told to find his guiding Star to deal with his psychopathy.

And Fisk takes her away from him, in order to replace the star.

And now he tried to do the same thing for the entire City of New York, and while his reign of terror was already pretty terrible, it became really bad, once he lost his own Northern Star, that being Vanessa.

Vanessa says to Wilson: It was the grand design.

And this episodes title actually goes deeper into the themes of this show.

The Northern Star has a Southern equivalent, the Southern Cross.

Now the Final Episode having this title can have multiple meanings, for one the most obvious meaning is of course that everything is flipped on it's head, Fisk Tried to control the Northern Star(the ship and the concept) thought destroying it(the Ship) will throw people off, and give him back his claim on unlimited power.

But people kept following the Clues, and ultimately the First Mate of the Northern Star finally leading them to the Truth, finding a way out of Fisk's Hateful Darkness(again the name of the previous episode) a darkness he tried to spread across the city, that tried to claim Karen but then Southern Cross brought them out of it.

The Southern Cross being, Daredevil or Matt, Why is it him?

Well firstly there is the obvious parallel of the Angel who lives in Hell('s Kitchen)(also South) but dresses as a Devil and beats up criminals at night, and the Devil who lives in Heaven (or North) Dresses in all white as an Angel and commits crimes on everyday people in the name of "progress" and "love".

Matt is of course also Catholic hence the cross, the cross being in the south also indicates the inverted cross or St. Peter's Cross, which is a symbol of Martyrdom and humility because St. Peter felt unworthy to be crucified as Jesus himself and hence asked to be crucified inverted, but also in modern time it is a symbol of Satanism or the Devil.

And for an Angel hiding as the Devil it is the perfect symbol.

Also to represent Martyrdom where Matt unmasks himself and shows his true face as Daredevil in order to take down Fisk.

Man in sunglasses in court, saying "I am Daredevil." Close-up of a hand holding a white cane. Audience gasps, courtroom setting.

And here the Southern Star and the Northern Star Together unmask themselves to guide people through the Darkness.

Making it... a Full Circle moment!!!

You know because the earth is a sphere and its both North and South...

Yeah I feel quite Proud of myself for that.

But this is only half the episode.

What about the rest?

Well Kingpin won't be going down easy, for one, there is a fake Bullseye sanctioned by the AVTF to kill...

"A blind lawyer who can fight."

But as Daredevil said.

"Repeat, prepare to take the shot."
"Sorry, Pal. Wrong Bullseye.

Because the actual one got in place, because of course he did.

The courthouse goes under siege, and B.B. takes off her mask, angered as we all are by Daniel's death.

And the City splits down the middle.

 "The city's picking sides."

It's Halloween time again and Daredevil leads the Mob along side Jessica to the City hall, well actually the Mob is first lead together by Cherry and Brett, the old and the new guard together.

And while Powell continues to be Kingy boi's loyal piece of shit, Cole North Finally decides to go after his comics counterpart and lets the Mob in.

Worst Decision honestly because the Ping can hit people hard enough to shatter walls.

Kingpin Crushes a Man's head with his hands

He decides to let it all out once the Attorney General calls with an offer for him to leave New York in exchange for not pressing charges.

And it seems he truly wants to die here, and go down swinging.

As the Unstopable Force meets the immovable object of the Mob, Jessica and Daredevil are forced to take the mob off of Kingpin to save his life, and they both stand there and make their peace, in exchange for giving the city some peace.

I am glad the Show did show the negative side of Mob violence as well, and didn't just side with Mob Justice, which it very well could have and it would still have been awesome.

But Good Morality is always Good.

This is actually so awesome I cannot even.

Kingpin and Matt talk to each other.

Take the fall, accept defeat stay close to her memory, keep it alive.

And Daredevil is arrested for his vigilantism, with NYPD presumably giving him and Karen time in order to get some closure.

Two people hold hands across a table in a dimly lit restaurant with beer bottles. Subtitles read: [Karen] I thought we'd have more time.

Heather goes further down the violence rabbit hole and if you have seen the leaks you know, that is all I will say.

BB chooses to keep Daniel's memory alive as well as her uncle's.

And Matt is in prison, and this does happen in the comics.

Daredevil swings with batons on an orange background. Text reads: "The Devil in Cell-Block D." Marvel branding at the bottom.

This leads to a very Dark story line where Matt eventually becomes the leader of the Hand.

Now I don't know if that will happen in the MCU, for one, we do know that the Hand is still alive and kicking in the MCU from the Brand New Day Trailer.

Spider-Man fighting the hand in the Brand New Day trailer.

And maybe who knows Darey will become the leader after these events.

One thing we do know is that the Version of his costume he wears in that story line is the one he was wearing for this season, so I don't know... maybe?

Maybe bro takes inspiration from Luke Cage, who is back as well, now that Mr. Shaggy Charles has Bullseye.

Mr. Charles and Bullseye.

And it seems the Defenders shall all be back where they belong.
