Spider-Man: No way home, The perfect ending to an... origin story...?

Spider-Man's eyes in the final shot of the film.

No Way Home was something else, it was Marvel's second Endgame, except this time Sony get's a cut as well...

Which I mean, the more the Merrier right?

And that is very appropriate for this movie because of the main appeal.

From the very beginning, the moment Spider-Verse came out and further Spidey went through the tumultuous Legal struggle which Involved Marvel and Sony Arguing over the rights to Spider-Man like two parents undergoing a divorce.... The rumors of a live action Spider-Verse had been going wild!

And Sony fully rode the rumor mill wave, like they rode it so hard, There were leaks, potential set photos, script leaks, and then that one time John Campea just leaked something randomly with his water mark...

John Campea Fucks up.

But moving on from all that, No way Home was officially marketed as a return of the villains from the older movies because of a spell gone wrong that starts pulling all who know Spider-Man's Identity to the Mainline MCU.

And luckily all of Spider-Man's Villains just happened to know his Ident... no!

Electro didn't know it!

In fact they acknowledge it at the end!

Electro wanted Spidey to be black

So Why the Fuck is he here?

And I mean in that very movie, there was another guy who fought Spidey and Figured out his Identity...

And for some reason he never shows up...

Yeah guys where is Dane Dehaan's Harry Osborn/Green Goblin?

They do acknowledge this in the movie too... They mention Andrew's Goblin don't they?

So where is he?

Spider-Man fighting Dane Dehaan's Green Goblin.

The Other villains make sense...

I guess there is one thing worse than a broken spell... Studio and audience demands and actors not wanting to get involved/not being called...

Who knows, maybe because they had one Goblin they didn't want to bring in another, but there is literally no in universe explanation for his absence.

But let's actually talk about this movie.

It takes on immediately after the identity reveal done by Mysterio and J. Jonah capitalizing on it.

The immediate aftermath involves mostly everyone freaking the f out while Happy and May break up, and the whole world goes full team Mysterio.

Fortunately, they have a really good lawyer.

Matt Murdock the really good Lawyer.

But even so, the court of Public opinion never forgives and never forgets, so they have to move to a safer place(Happy's) and then get rejected by MIT.

And what other solution is there other than go and ask Dr. Strange to mindwipe everyone?

Amazing.

Doctor strange admonishes Peter for not talking to MIT first

But whatever happened happened, it's too late to turn back the clock now(unfortunately the Time Stone is gone...)

And soon after, everyone starts coming in, and while Strange gives Pete an easy out of simply sending them all back... May and Peter Step in deciding to do the right thing...

Because a lot of these people die fighting Spider-Man, and they can't just let that happen...

And while initially they all are succeeding, Norman's Demonic Half takes over...

And while we are at it, can I just take a moment to point out how amazing Willem De Foe is as the Goblin...

His mannerisms, his laugh, his line delivery, and the fact that they finally gave the Goblin a comic accurate purple hoodie...

The Green Goblin in a purple hoodie.

"Trying to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose..." That's what he told Pete before taking May from him.

And just like uncle Ben, she dies, trying to do the right thing.

The other two Spider-Men then come in at the right moment, just when Peter is about to become the very thing he once swore to stand against...

The movie mostly then is a lot of Fan service and memes, which is fun and all but not a lot to talk about, until...

Tom Holland's Peter fights Goblin, and he goes all out, just like Andrew predicted

Andrew tells Tom what happened to him post Gwen's death and what he doesn't want him to end up as...

The two of them have to step in and stop him, just like mentors should, because that's what this movie is, it is the two earlier Spider-Men Mentoring the new one to take on the role properly.

And he does, by making the ultimate sacrifice, in order to save the universe from a total Multiversal collapse, he asks strange to make everyone forget who he is.

Only when he does all of that, and heals Goblin, giving every one else what he can never have, does he get to truly become Spider-Man.

Peter Finally sewing his own Comic Accurate Spider-Man Costume.
